Our company belongs to traditional manufacturers of insulation materials on the basis of the wood fibre. For more than half of the century it belongs to a group of the largest European manufacturers producing wood-fibre insulation boards by so called wet process.
Our insulation boards are manufactured out of natural raw materials without utilisation of adhesives. Their characteristics meet all criteria of ecological construction materials and they are a full–value alternative for normally used insulation materials such as the mineral wool or polystyrene.
Brief history:
1951: Establishment of Smrecina National Company
1952: Beginning of the production of soft wood-fibre boards.
1977: Beginning of the production of ivory faced softboards.
1992: Privatisation of the state company and change to a joint stock company.
2003: Arrival of a new owner and beginning of large production modernisation.
2005: We became a member of the Wood-fibre Boards Manufacturers Association
