As a successor of STZ”Vasil Kolarov”, Elprom ZEM is one of the founders of the electro-industry and the only manufacturer of large electrical machines in Bulgaria and the region.
As a result of changes in Bulgaria and its orientation towards a market economy since 1997 Elprom ZEM is a private company in the group of Industrial Holding Bulgaria. The owner of a controlling stake ZMM Bulgaria Holding.
Elprom ZEM currently develops, manufactures, delivers, assembles and performs repairs as needed, to clients at home and abroad following electrical machinery:

* High-voltage asynchronous electric motors, 3 and 6kV
* Vertical asynchronous electric motors, rated power output 250 up to 1600 kW
