New 3 person-hover vehicle designed for the marine leisure market.

The theory behind one of the most successful inventions of the 20th century, the Hovercraft, was originally tested in 1955 using an empty KiteKat cat food tin inside a coffee tin, an industrial air blower and a pair of kitchen scales by inventor Sir Christopher Cockerell. Things have changed a bit since then.
Compared to Rib boats, personal watercraft, boats and 4x4s, the Hov Pod, a three-person leisure hovercraft has a number of major advantages. For example, you can hover over grass, sand, mud, ice, packed snow, along shallow rivers, over submerged coral or rocks, at high tide, or low tide, it really doesn’t matter when. Use Hov Pod as a boat tender, waterside property taxi, or a craft just to have fun with.

Large enough to carry three adults, or perhaps an adult and three children, the Hov Pod offers a truly amazing ride experience. Logic tells you to slow down while approaching the beach with normal marine craft, but the Hov Pod just keeps on going, so you never really have to get wet, just drive on up the beach to step out onto dry land. No need to wade into cold water to retrieve your craft onto the trailer!

Cornering is, well…. different to perhaps anything else you may have driven. Slide and glide into corners as on a magic carpet with attitude! The pure fact that you are levitating 9 inches off the surface on a cushion of air has a really liberating effect on your sense of direction. For example, why go around the mudflats when you can go over them. For thrills, try 180 turns up the beach, or continuous 360 spins, difficult to achieve in any other type of vehicle.
