1. BLADE: The axial flow propeller type fan blade having variable pitch is aerodynamically designed to achieve minimum 85 % efficiency from the latest range of aerofoil section. The Structural design of the blade is designed to with Stands the effects of the steady and fluctuating load in operation, with a liberal margin of factor of safety, which is more than ten times of the operation loads.
Pressure bag moulding technique method will be used to produced hollow FRP Blades which will be free from any metal insert, Porosity, Entrapped air etc.
Fiberglass with Epoxy Resin combination has been chosen to give optimum strength, stiffness,
durability characteristics, resistance to weather, ultraviolet degradation etc. Each blade will be painted with anti-corrosive paint and extra coating will be provided at the leading edge to prevent erosion while in operation in humid atmosphere of the High Speed Blower.
2. HUB BODY: This shall be made out of 8 mm thick MS Plate (IS – 226 grade) with Spray/Hot-dip
galvanized for corrosion protection as per IS specification.
3. HUB SPOOL: This shall be made out of close C.I. grade 25 with integral flange at top and bottom where Hub body plate are bolted.
4. BLADE CLAMPS: The clamps shall be made out of close grain C.I. grade 25 in the above hub assembly. The clamps are made in two halves, which on joining together have a taper bore to suit to the root of the blade i.e. clamps are bolted in position by means of these clamps, which are bolted in between the Hub plate.
5. HARDWARES: The complete hardware in Hub Assembly will be of Stainless Steel ASTMA –193- type 304 for bolts and ASTMA -194 TYPE 304for nuts, Washers and check - nuts.
6. BALANCING &VIBRATIONS: Hub assembly will be dynamically balanced within permissible limits as per IS Standard 1940 (Grade 6.3) and residual unbalanced will be be below 80 mm x gms/Kg. (micron). All FRP blades will be statically balanced forming moment in a pair.
