The 2008 Sea-Doo 180 Challenger has a nimble feeling in the corners and responds to the steering nicely. Prolonged turns, however, would scrub off a decent amount of speed. The 20 degrees makes the boat to efficiently cut through the chop for a comfortable ride at cruising speed. But at full speed you could experienced a decent amount of pounding while out in the rough, likely due in part to the craft?s light weight. Its smaller size and relatively low horsepower also makes it less daunting to operate and maneuver around the dock, which is always an adventure for a first-timer.

The 180 Challenger easily obtains a top speed over 46 mph even in bumpy water. The time to plane is impressive: 4.5 seconds, and the 180 can obtain a 0 to 30 mph in 8.1 seconds

The 180 Challenger is pretty loud at 102 dB at wide open and 97 dB at cruising speed.
