Ferro silicon powder is bright grey, and the density is small. The more silicon, the lower proportion. According to the content of the silicon, it can be divided into industrial ferro silicon (Si > 97%, iron does not exceed 1.5 percent), and the ferro silicon of different contents

Application:
It is often used as deoxidizer in steel-making and iron-making.
It may be widely used in improving the strength of steel, the hardness and elasticity..
By adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon in cast iron can prevent the formation of iron carbide, and promote the precipitation of graphite and globalization.
It can also be used as inoculant of the nodular cast iron when it is add.
