Teflon implant Prostheis are used
in Middle Ear Microsurgery.
*Teflon Pistons (Incus Piston &
Malleus Pistons) are basically
Stapes Replacement, where as
the damaged Stapes is replaced
by this Teflon Piston.
* Teflon Clip Piston is a newly
developed Stapes Replacement,
where as it has a "V" shaped cut
at the right place and does not
required to be opened when
inserting on the incus and just
need to be inserted with a
aligator forcep.
* Teflon Grommets are drainage
tubes, and are used for ventilating
the middle ear, so remove
infectious fluids from the middle
ear.
* Teflon TORP (Total Ossicular
Replacement Prosthesis) is an
implant Prosthesis where no
middle ear Ossicular chain is
present and hence the need to
insert a TORP to complete the
conduction chain. We have Four
designs of TORPs as under :-
-TORP Conventional Design.
-TORP with fixed foot plate Shoe
and grooved top flange.
-TORP with Adjustable Foot Plate
Shoe with grooved top flange.
-TORP with Adjustable foot plate
shoe and blunt pin head top
flange.
*PORP (Partial Ossicular
Replacement Prosthesis) is a
implant prosthesis used in the
middle ear microsurgery where
only the stapes is present and
PORP is placed on top of Stapes
to complete the conduction
chain, PORPs are available in two
designs as follows :-
-Central Coloumn PORP
-Side Coloumn PORP.
*Bivalve Internal Nasal Septal
Splint: Prosthesis is a Nasal
Splint.
